Instarug turns your ideas into custom hand-tufted rugs. To do that we collect a small amount of information, described here in plain language.

Information we collect

Account information: your name and email address, provided when you create an account (including via Google sign-in).
Design content: the rug descriptions you write, the designs and revisions generated for you, reference photos you upload, and your conversations with the design assistant.
Order information: shipping details and order history when you purchase a sample or rug. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Usage information: basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service running and secure.

To create your rug designs — your descriptions and reference photos are processed by our AI image-generation provider (Google) solely to produce your designs.
To fulfill orders, provide customer support, and send transactional emails such as order confirmations.
To operate, secure, and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your designs or photos to train AI models.

We rely on a small set of providers to run Instarug: Clerk (sign-in), Google (AI image generation), Supabase (data and image storage), Stripe (payments), and our hosting provider. Each receives only the information needed to perform its role.

You can access your designs and order history from your account at any time.
To delete your account and associated data, or to ask any privacy question, contact us at the email below and we will respond promptly.

We keep your account, designs, and order records while your account is active, and as required for legal or accounting purposes after that.
Data is stored with reputable cloud providers, encrypted in transit, with access limited to what operating the service requires.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the date below.
